Google keeps track of all the steps you take on your devices with the apps and services you provide, but you may not realize how much they can reach, so we give you these tips.

The Wired magazine published a report highlighting how Google is tracking individuals and how to put an end to it.

The company advocates its policy of collecting so much information about users that this information helps them improve their services, while many people may disagree.

So we have three options: either give our trust to Google to use all of these data in a responsible manner, or not to use Google services permanently, or limit the information that you can gather about us. In this article we will focus on the third option.

Your site and Internet pages
The first step you should follow to control the information tracked by Google is the Activity Controls page in your own site account by turning off tracking for each of the six categories to sort the data using the on-screen change tag.

Web & App Activity and Location History are the two most important categories on this page. As the name implies, Web & App Activity records all activities and searches on websites when you sign in to Google Chrome and access Google applications.

Just click the Manage activity link at the bottom of the Web & App Activity page to see the data in Google's logs. You'll see the webpages you've visited, the searches you've done, and the apps you've opened on your Android phone. However, you will not be able to see what you've done within these apps again.

Click the label by date and product at the top of the screen to see all the apps covered by the tracking system, from Google's assistant to the Google Play store.

With this feature, you can delete the processes by clicking the trash can, and you can delete the entries individually from the history by clicking the three dots next to the portlet and selecting the delete property.

To delete everything you've done, you need to select the Delete activity link on the right. You can then choose "All time" for the date range and all products to filter, and delete all that Google maintains in the "Web & App Activity" category. Another option Google has recently offered is to delete data that is older than 3 months or 18 months automatically. These options will appear if you click the "Automatically delete button" button at the top of the activity list.

As for the Location Log, which collects data from your phone, it's a bit different. You can follow the same steps and access the Activity Manager to view the data and modify the information stored by Google, but in this case the records appear as a map, where you can see the small red dots that identify the places you've visited, and use the menus in the top right to take a look at Date range and dates.

To clear this data from Google's records, click the "Trash" tab at the bottom right corner. This will show whether you're checking the places you've visited in a day, or your entire location history. To delete some places you've visited from the log, click the three dots on the side of the place and choose "Remove stop from day".

Devices, audio recordings, YouTube, Gmail
The third category in Activity Controls is information about the devices you use, including phones and tablets connected to your Google Account, where you can see all the devices that use your Google account and are associated with it at this time.

To delete the entire record, click Delete All instead of deleting the items individually.

The audio and audio category is on the main menu, where Google stores all of the Google Assistant commands on your device, whether it's a smartphone or a smartphone.

Under the "Audio and audio activity" category, Google stores all of its assistant commands on your device (the island)

If you click Activity Management, you'll get a list of all audio activities, along with the option to replay your audio recording.

Click on the three dots on the side of a recording to delete it, the trash can to delete your recordings for the entire day, or use the Delete activity link on the right to delete all recordings in this category at once.

The last two categories cover Google's video system: search history and watch history on YouTube. Both categories can be organized in the same way as sound and audio records, with options to delete records one by one, daily, or all using the Delete Activity link.

When it comes to stopping Google's tracking of your temporary activities, there are some options available, such as maintaining the sign-out feature when using YouTube, using incognito mode when searching, and using the Google Chrome browser. As such, these activities will stop appearing on your Google Account.
