“On May 28, an unknown woman left two year old children in one of the hostels in the city of Kotelniki and did not return for them,” a press release on the website of the regional Investigation Department said.

They clarified that only the next day the hostel employees applied to the law enforcement agencies.

In the State Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Moscow region, they noted that an unknown woman with two young children appealed to the administrator of the hostel to provide them with a bed.

At the same time, when registering, she did not have a passport, and the woman, leaving the children, left the hostel to take the document out of the car, but did not return.

Currently, the children were sent to a regional medical facility.

The investigation is considering a criminal case.

Earlier, "Kryminform" reported that the investigators had begun an investigation into the death in the Simferopol region of a five-year-old girl who had been left in a car.
