"A significant event for the development of bilateral relations will be the celebration in 2019 of the 80th anniversary of the joint victory on the Khalkhin Gol River, thanks to which Soviet-Mongolian troops defended the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Mongolia from Japanese aggression," RIA Novosti reports the press service. Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Gordeyev, who met with Mongolian President Khaltmaagiin Battulga.
It is noted that the invitation to take part in the celebrations on September 3-4 was sent to the head of the Russian state.
