The Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Work in Dubai said that the amount of Zakat al-Fitr this year ranges between 20 and 25 dirhams per person.
She confirmed in a statement published on her Twitter page that it is permissible to pay zakaat al-fitr in cash, as many scholars have said, and the estimated price is about 20 to 25 dirhams these days.
The Department stressed in a previous advisory opinion on the need to take full care to pay zakat on time, so that the sun does not fall on the day of Eid, so that it has reached the deserving, noting that the acceleration before the prayer better;
She pointed out that the zakaat al-fitr is obligatory for every Muslim who has money, which is preferable to his own wealth, and whoever is counting on the day of Eid and the night of Eid, he must pay the zakaat al-fitr on his own behalf and whoever owes it to him from his children and his daughters and his parents.
