The Spanish Foreign Ministry commented on the decision of Moscow to call the ambassador of the kingdom

"We believe that she (Moscow. - RT) overreacted, interpreting in a bilateral manner a series of reflections on global geopolitics made from a European point of view," RIA Novosti quoted the words of the representative of the Spanish Foreign Ministry.

According to the Russian Foreign Ministry, the Spanish ambassador in Moscow, Valderram Pareha, was summoned to the Russian Foreign Ministry in connection with the “unfriendly remarks” of the acting Foreign Minister of Spain, Josep Borrel.

The ministry clarified that the Spanish diplomat was pointed out the contradiction of the words of the politician, which are detrimental to the relations between Moscow and Madrid.
