As RIA Novosti reports, Kasem was entered into the site’s database and “deported from Lithuania, as (citizen. - RT ) representing a threat to national security”.
Earlier, Kasem said that, arriving at Vilnius airport, he was detained by Lithuanian border guards.
Subsequently it became known that the journalist who is a citizen of Latvia was deported to Riga.
The Russian Permanent Mission to the OSCE commented on the incident.
