Shoigu arrived on a working visit to Japan

It is reported by TASS with reference to the press secretary of the head of the military department to the Russian Markovskaya.

In Japan, Shoigu will take part in consultations between the foreign ministers and defense ministries of the two countries in the 2 + 2 format. He is also expected to hold bilateral talks with Japanese Defense Minister Takeshi Iwai.

"The agenda of the Russian-Japanese dialogue includes issues of global and regional security, the military-political situation in the region," Markovskaya said.

Earlier, Shoigu visited Tajikistan for talks with the authorities of the country.
