Whatever the proportion of the strike that took effect in Sudan on Tuesday, the forces of freedom and change won the bet. The move took hold in Khartoum, while regular forces seemed tense in their dealings with staff and workers.

On the streets of Khartoum, the traffic flow in the morning was relatively less than in the rest of the day, although the strike required workers to get to their jobs and not perform their jobs.

The strike was widely seen in the banking sector, the Central Bank of Sudan and the Central Bank's e-banking company.

Not only did the strikers stop working, they organized protest vigils with slogans calling for the PA to take place in front of the headquarters of banks, telecommunications companies and ministries whose workers responded to the strike.

The southern port, the largest Sudanese port in Port Sudan (675 km northeast of the capital Khartoum), witnessed a strike with full handling, according to Sami al-Sayegh, chief engineer of the port's port.

"There is no mechanism at all today; the strike at the seaports is 100 percent successful," Al-Sayegh said.

Teachers strike
The striking extension of the strike was for the members of the "control" to correct the Sudanese certificate exams near the field of sit-in in front of the army command in Khartoum, where Ahmed Rabee of the Teachers Committee belonging to the gathering of professionals enlighten the exam preparers a day before the strike.

She did not find a previous address to the Vice President of the Military Council, Mohammed Hamdan Hamidti control of the Sudanese certificate and financial incentives to prevent them from entering the strike.

For the first time, the general strike extends through the merchants in the markets of Naivasha, Al Hurriya Street (central Khartoum), the prison (south of the capital) and the martyrs in Omdurman, as well as the strike of a number of major shops such as Sana Hypermarket.

The strike was also attended by workers from the Dal Group of Companies, one of the largest industrial groups, including Coca-Cola factories, flour mills and Cabo Albanians.

A total of 277 pharmacies in the state of Khartoum declared a strike, and most pharmacies in the state's cities closed on Tuesday.

Tension scene
The military's first strike on the first day was the suspension of workers at the electricity offices and the Central Bank of Sudan.

Regular forces entered into verbal exchanges and clashing with the workers at the Riyadh District Electricity Office in Khartoum. A number of workers were taken away and later released.

The group of professionals in the electricity sector asked all employees at the branch offices to vacate the offices immediately and to comply with the directives of the office managers and to enter the strike.

A military force surrounded the buildings of the Bank of Sudan Khartoum branch and the electronic banking services at the intersection of the streets of the municipality and the Faculty of Engineering University of Khartoum, in an attempt to force staff to resume work and open the central treasury.

He did not find the arrival of the Governor of the Central Bank to Khartoum branch to convince his staff to start exchange operations and pass clearing.

According to Mohammed Esmat, a staff member at the Bank of Sudan, the strike at the bank's headquarters and a large number of branches was successful. He criticized in an interview for Al Jazeera Net a military attempt to thwart the strike by threat and force, and vowed to continue the strike on Wednesday.

Khartoum Airport
Khartoum airport was partly affected by the general strike, a joint military force arrived at the airport, and journalists and satellite channel reporters were denied coverage.

The pool of professionals of the General Meteorological Commission (GMA) evacuated its responsibility for any weather information issued by the Khartoum Weather Forecast Office and any consequences of this during the strike period.

According to a statement by the group, a group of armed forces ordered the evacuation of the office and started to operate, including giving the Air Navigation Bureau information to run the Khartoum airport.

"The company has not received any fees since morning," said the company's employee, who works to collect the entrance fees to Khartoum airport.

Option of disobedience
In the White Nile State, workers at the White Nile Sugar Company, one of the country's largest sugar mills, also hit the workers in the Atbara and Brier cement factories in the state of the Nile.

As the strike expands, and strikers are attacked by regular forces, the option of escalation will be available to the forces of freedom and change by declaring civil disobedience to maintain the safety of workers.

The forces of freedom and change will face the challenge of keeping the momentum of escalation escalating, and the momentum in the sit-in during the Eid holiday which begins next Tuesday.

Winning the battle of the strike would have forced the military to show more flexible positions on the proportion of civilians in the Sovereign Council and its presidency.
