The Abu Dhabi Police warned against the dangers of fireworks that children circulate during the holy month of Ramadan and holidays, pointing out that the penalty of manufacturing or trading is imprisonment for a period not exceeding six months and a fine not exceeding 10 thousand dirhams.

The head of the Department of Weapons and Explosives in the Security and Ports Sector, Brig. Gen. Salem Hamoud Al Balushi, called on families to pay attention to what may be harmful to their children from explosives that lead to serious injuries, as well as the risks of the gases emitted and the harmful substances that affect the respiratory system.

He explained that fireworks lead to environmental pollution or fires that may threaten the safety of members of society, hurt others, and cause disturbing sounds for patients and the elderly.

The head of the Commercial Explosives Division, Lt. Col. Saif Ali Al-Mufri Al-Ketbi, stated that the law is punishable by imprisonment for a period not exceeding six months and a fine of not more than 10,000 dirhams, or one of these two penalties, without any license to trade in, import, export or manufacture fireworks Or enter or attempt to introduce them into the State, and is considered an aggravating circumstance of introduction or manufacture for the purpose of trafficking.
