Four soldiers, an information professional and 23 jihadists died on Saturday (May 25th) in an attack on the north shore of Lake Chad, where the Islamists of Boko Haram have been multiplying incursions for several weeks.

It was at 1am on Saturday that Boko Haram elements attacked the Chadian army's positions at Berkara, not far from Ngouboua, on the northern shore of Lake Chad.

A death that brings to five the number of people killed by jihadists who seem to have adopted a new mode of operation: laying mines on the path of the enemy.
