The meeting took place after Guryev was outraged by the statements of Solovyov about the protesters against the construction of the church of St. Catherine in Yekaterinburg.

According to him, Guryev "did not see something" and they "did not have much of a difference."

It turned out that he did not see the entire speech, but only heard the phrases taken out of context, ”said Solovyov.

Earlier, Guryev wrote an appeal in which Solovyov challenged to a duel.

Vladimir Solovyov refused to take part in a duel, suggesting that Guryev thus wanted to become famous.
