“Ahead of the shipbuilders of the Baltic plant is the completion of the nuclear-powered ship afloat, the deadline for submitting the order is August 2022,” the press service said.
The ministry also said that the successful implementation of import substitution programs has allowed localization of domestic equipment on vessels of this type to reach 90%.
Earlier in St. Petersburg a solemn launching ceremony of the third nuclear icebreaker of the project 22220 “Ural” was held.
Currently, the Arctic and Siberia icebreakers are also being built at the Baltic Shipyard in St. Petersburg.
