The head of the transitional military council in Sudan, Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah El-Burhan, arrived in Cairo yesterday, where he discussed with President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi about the latest developments in the Sudan and stressed the readiness of Egypt to sponsor initiatives to support the Sudanese people.

Immediately after the arrival of the proof to the Egyptian capital, the Egyptian President received him at the presidential palace in the suburb of Heliopolis, east of Cairo, according to the official spokesman of the Egyptian presidency «AFP».

According to Al-Arabiya, al-Sisi and Burhan Malfi discussed Al-Nahda and peace with South Sudan. Egyptian-Sudanese talks focused on increasing security cooperation and combating terrorism.

The visit comes to Cairo, days before a general strike called by leaders of the protest movement in Sudan, Tuesday and Wednesday, to demand the military council to hand over power to civilians.

The first visit to proof outside Sudan since the ouster of former President Omar al-Bashir on April 11.

The Egyptian president held a consultative summit on the situation in Sudan, in the presence of some African countries on April 23.

"The solution will be made by the Sudanese themselves, through a comprehensive and inclusive dialogue between the different political forces in Sudan, leading to a consensus political solution, a clear vision of the merits of this stage and leading to free and fair elections," Sisi said during the summit.

A few days ago, Burhan sent a letter of thanks and appreciation to Sisi, in response to the congratulatory message he sent to him on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan. On April 22, Sisi received a letter of proof, including a briefing on the latest developments in the situation in the Republic of Sudan.

The letter, which was presented by the Head of the Sudanese National Intelligence and Security Service, General Abubakar Demblab, to Egypt, expressed the hope that the Egyptian role in support of Sudan's security and stability would continue to overcome this stage.

Al-Burhan's visit to Cairo follows a visit by his deputy, Lieutenant General Mohammad Hamdan Duklu, known as Hamidati, to Saudi Arabia on Thursday and Friday, during which he met Saudi Crown Prince Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

During the meeting, they discussed bilateral cooperation between the two countries, as well as reviewing developments in the regional arena.

The military council said in a statement that the purpose of Hamidi's visit was "to thank the Kingdom for its economic support to secure the living conditions of the Sudanese people, as announced in the previous period, as well as its political support for the Council to contribute to a speedy solution Problems.

Negotiations are taking place between the military junta and the protest forces, represented by the Alliance of the Forces of the Declaration of Freedom and Change, on the administration of the transitional period. The negotiations have been suspended three times since Bashir's ouster, the latest of which was on Monday. So far no new date has been set for their resumption.

The coalition announced on Thursday that it would hold consultations with its supporters to discuss possible solutions after its talks with the military junta over the composition of the sovereign council, which is supposed to run the country during the transitional period.

On the other hand, the forces of freedom and change in Sudan will meet tomorrow to discuss the composition of the leadership council as a political reference, after the end of Thursday's meeting without reaching a result.

According to sources for «Arab» and «event», the views at the previous meeting was divided on the need for the composition of the Council and the continuity of coordination that currently manages the Alliance, as well as differences in views on descent and distribution and the introduction of signatories to the Declaration, and non-representative coordination and the size of blocks . Another meeting was scheduled for further consultation.

The Alliance of Freedom and Change, which leads the protests in Sudan, called Friday for a nationwide strike on Tuesday and Wednesday to demand that the military junta hand over power to civilians.

This comes as the alliance «Sudan Appeal», one of the components of the forces of freedom and change in Sudan, in a press statement on the current political situation, the dispute over the presidency of the Council can be overcome through dialogue and negotiation.

He stressed that the Transitional Military Council's recognition of the forces of freedom as an official representative of the revolution is one of the gains.

He also considered that the formation of a Council of Civil Ministers through the forces of freedom and change and the acquisition of the forces of change on the majority of 67% of the legislative authority, and the agreement to form a sovereign council with its powers in a parliamentary system are all gains.
