More than 13 Iranian-backed Houthi-backed militias were killed early Saturday and scores were wounded in fierce clashes with the Yemeni army in northern Taiz.

A military source in the 170th Air Defense Division told Saba news agency that "units of the brigade attacked the positions of the militias and managed to control Al-Jameem station and surrounding buildings, which is one of the most important defense lines of militias in the north of the city."

He added that the artillery was able to target a number of fortified sites and destroy them completely, and that the clashes are still continuing in the areas of silk and forty and various types of weapons.
