President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky will be forced to consider a petition about his resignation. Earlier, two relevant appeals were published on the official website of the head of state.

The first petition calls for the uncontested resignation of the president. She has already collected the necessary for consideration 25 thousand signatures.

The description notes that the incoming head of Ukraine allegedly does not have the support of 73% of voters - this is the result of Zelensky in the second round of elections. According to the authors of the petition, citizens with protest moods voted for him.

“You consolidated the protest without giving concrete promises and political guidelines, but now, after election and inauguration, you cannot but have a concrete path,” the explanation says.

The authors of the appeal wrote that Zelensky allegedly took advantage of the lack of meaningful promises on his part and “began to attribute their own whims to the popular will.”

“There is an unacceptable situation when the“ servant of the people ”has no moral obligations to his people, formed in the election process,” the creators of the petition say.

At the end of the appeal, allegedly on behalf of the Ukrainian people, it is stated that Zelensky must immediately resign from the position of President of Ukraine.

The author of the second petition calls on Zelensky to release the post of head of state if he fails to fulfill his election promises within six months. 4.5 thousand people left their signatures under it.

Among the requirements for the president are the lifting of immunity from deputies, judges, ministers and the president, the revision of utility prices, as well as “a trial of all those who robbed and destroyed the Ukrainian state” and “decent wages and social benefits”.

Ukraine also published the results of a study that revealed the level of trust in the new president.

According to a survey conducted by the Ukrainian Institute of Social Research named after Yaremenko, the Social Monitoring Center and the Institute for Economics and Forecasting of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, almost 58% of Ukrainians trust the Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky.

It is noted that 35.1% of the respondents rather trust Zelensky, 23% - completely trust. In turn, the former president of Ukraine, Petro Poroshenko, is trusted by 15% of respondents.

"It will be difficult, but he himself wanted to become president"

Vladimir Zelensky won the second round of the presidential elections in Ukraine, gaining 73.22% of the vote. Petro Poroshenko received the support of 24.45% of voters. These results were officially published on April 30th. The new head of state took office on May 20.

The head of the Ukrainian Analytical Center, an economist Alexander Okhrimenko, in an interview with RT, suggested that petitions against Zelensky are capable of collecting much more than the required 25 thousand votes.

“But the petition is just a petition, it does not mean that it should be done. She can take note. But will Vladimir Zelensky take note of her? I think no. In terms of PR, yes, it's fun. This again shows that Ukraine loves shows, but they don’t like to engage in real economics, ”the expert believes.

Okhrimenko suggested that Zelensky would have to fight not only with the former political elite of Ukraine, but also with those whom he did not invite to his team.

“Everyone he plays against his team is playing against him. Zelensky will be difficult, but he himself wanted to become president. Now he has all the opportunities to start practicing, ”the expert noted.

The president of the Center for Systems Analysis and Forecasting, Rostislav Ishchenko, suggested that the new president of Ukraine would try to get out of an awkward position with the help of humor.

"Now he will come out and say that" the enemies of the people offend us. " Or he will say that he has considered the petition, now I want to ask the people whom to imprison for this petition, ”the expert notes.

Political analyst and economist Oleksandr Dudchak also drew attention to the argument cited in one of the petitions that Ukrainians mostly voted against Poroshenko, and not for Zelensky.

“Zelensky simply did not have the opportunity to prove himself in real affairs. Certain statements were made, and, naturally, they could not please everyone who voted against Poroshenko, ”the expert believes.

He also noted that key posts in the state are not yet occupied by people of Zelensky, and citizens of Ukraine expressed distrust to previous officials.
