As the head of state noted, the temple should unite people, not disunite
“On both sides, some steps are needed to resolve this issue in the interests of all the people who really live there. There is a simple way - to conduct a survey. And the minority must submit to the majority, ”Putin said.
According to him, at the same time, it is necessary to take into account the opinions and interests of this minority.
“It’s necessary not to drag the ropes, not to quarrel with each other, but to sit down and agree. And the city authorities, regional authorities should do just that: find the best solution for the people living there, ”he concluded.
Earlier, the ROC called on protesters in Yekaterinburg and supporters of the construction of the temple to refrain from harsh expressions.
The Kremlin claimed that the force scenario was considered justified during provocations in Yekaterinburg.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the region, 70 people were detained by the police for a protest on May 15.
