They obtained satisfaction on two essential points of their demands: the revival of rail activities and the payment of salary arrears.

Moussa Keita, the general secretary of the Free Trade Union of Rail Workers, details what they got before going back to work: " It was decided to pay us in a short time, the payment of two months is already at the level the Treasury and must be transferred to the bank, for another two months before the end of Ramadan to give a life of celebration to our families. "

The workers of Dakar-Bamako railway (DBF) also obtained from the Malian State a revival of rail activities. " The Malian government will make every effort to ensure that trains start running again. The hunger strike and especially its collateral damage, for example the impossibility for workers without means to heal themselves or to treat their families, caused the deaths of about ten people, according to the trade unionists.
