In Yekaterinburg, held a protest against the construction of the temple in the park

On Tuesday evening, at the protest action, detentions began, RIA Novosti correspondent reports.

It is noted that the detainees tried to get to the fence of the construction site. Before that, several protesters began to break down the fence.

As stated in the Ministry of Public Security of the Sverdlovsk Region, five people were detained in an uncoordinated action in the square at the temple construction site.

“According to the Ministry of Public Security, five people were detained,” TASS reports.

It is emphasized that those who posed a security threat to people in the park were detained.

Earlier, the governor of the Sverdlovsk region Yevgeny Kuyvashev invited supporters of the construction of the cathedral and the protesters in the conversation to discuss the situation.

A spontaneous protest rally was held in the center of Yekaterinburg on the evening of May 13, the participants of which demolished a temporary fence at the construction site of the cathedral and occupied the square.
