Iraqi Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi has ruled out a war between Iran and the United States, saying they do not want it, stressing that there are indications from both sides that things will end well.

The Iraqi news agency quoted Abdul Mahdi as saying that Iraq is connected to both Iranian and US officials, noting that the conflict between the United States and Iran is a complex issue, and that Iraq is working hard to find solutions to him.

This comes at a time when Deputy High Nassif called the Prime Minister to come to the House of Representatives to explain his vision on Iraq's position towards the conflict in the region between the United States and Iran.

"This conflict took another course after America sent an attack ship and Patriot batteries to the region and stepped up economic sanctions, and all this is happening geographically, politically and economically at the heart of this conflict," Nassif said in a statement.

"It is unreasonable to sit and wait for the unknown without at least a view, a view, or a readiness for rapid developments in the region," Nassif said.

The United States has recently deployed an aircraft carrier and naval escort, as well as a group of bombers "in response to indications of a serious threat from Iran."

Tehran was quick to denounce the US move, considering sending a US aircraft carrier to the Middle East an old story "lost its importance," according to the official Iranian agency.
