A 6.1 magnitude earthquake occurred in southwest Panama, according to a report by the US Geological Survey (USGS).

The location of the earthquake is located 7 km southeast of Plaça de Caisse, bordered by Costa Rica, and the depth of the earthquake is 37.3 km.

The casualties were not immediately reported, and Panama officials said there were no tsunami warnings.

However, it was reported that some of the buildings in the earthquake-affected area were damaged.

The Panama Fire Authority has been calling on Twitter to respond calmly, saying that it has been reported that the land has been shaken by people from various localities.

In the center of Costa Rica, an earthquake has been detected, but reports have not been received so far, Reuters said.
