Myanmar's airliner has landed on the back of the landing gear due to a landing gear failure, AFP reported.

An official at Mandalay Airport said, "Myanmar Airline Yangon to Mandalay UB-103 landed on the runway with 82 passengers and 7 crew members aboard at 9:00 am". "The landing stage of the plane was attracted to the runway, but fortunately there were no casualties," the official added. The airplane landing without a front wheel was dragged by the runway, and it was reported that a huge fireworks burst and smoke was generated.

The captain reported to the airport that the front wheel did not go down just before landing.

Myanmar officials said the captain had originally attempted to automatically lower the front landing gear of the fuselage, but when he failed, he switched hands manually. "They tried to lower the landing gear twice in the sky," he explained. The airline is investigating the cause of landing gear failure by sending a technician to Mandalay Airport.

On the afternoon of July 8, obesity at Yangon International Airport in Myanmar slipped while the passenger plane of Bangladesh Airlines landed on the runway, and 11 people including passengers were injured lightly.
