He said that at present negotiations with Russia are in the active stage.

“Therefore, without having final solutions both in the oil sector and in the price of gas (for Belarus in 2020. - RT) , we proceed from the most pessimistic assessments that we have today,” the minister said.

He added that if Belarus "finally succeeds in reaching an agreement with Russian colleagues (on compensation. - RT ), this will be an additional advantage."

Earlier, Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko said that Belarus does not intend to speculate on the situation around the polluted oil and link the issue of compensation with the tax maneuver.
