The AfD has changed its position to a EU exit of Germany in the election O-Mat of the Federal Agency for Civic Education.

To the statement "Germany should leave the European Union" stood at the AFD after the launch of the online platform on May 3, first the vote "agree". Later this was changed to "neutral", reports the "Saarbrücker newspaper", citing the Federal Central. An AfD spokesman confirmed the news agency dpa the process.

The Wahl-O-Mat is intended as a decision-making aid for voters: parties indicate their position on various theses - possible are "agree", "neutral" or "disagree". Users can compare their own positions with those of the parties.

In fact, the AfD is considering a German EU exit under certain conditions. In its election program for the European elections on May 26, it says: "If our basic reform approaches in the existing system of the EU can not be realized in a reasonable time, we consider a withdrawal of Germany or an orderly dissolution of the European Union and the creation of a new European economic and community of interests necessary. " A "Dexit" would be possible from the view of the AfD but only after a referendum.

According to the "Saarbrücker Zeitung", the Federal Agency for Civic Education pointed out that the parties in the election O-Mat decide for themselves which answer applies to them.
