The forces of freedom and change asked the transitional military council in Sudan to postpone the planned meeting between them, "to complete the consultations", the day after the gathering of Sudanese professionals threatened the military council with further escalation.

In fact, an unannounced meeting between representatives of the Forces for Freedom and Change and the Military Council in the Friendship Hall was postponed to a later date at the request of the forces of change to complete their consultations.

The negotiations on the sovereign council between the forces of freedom and change and the military transition council were supposed to resume yesterday.

Meanwhile, sources from the forces of freedom and change revealed that their internal meetings were to resolve the formation of the "leadership council" of the forces of change, but did not reach a consensus.

The forces of change announced their desire to resume negotiations away from the media conflict, and reach an agreement within 72 hours.

The gathering of Sudanese professionals, a large part of the forces of freedom and change, said in a statement on Saturday night that he was sticking to the country's authority and threatened the military council with further escalation.

He stressed in a statement his adherence to his first demand, namely civil authority, otherwise «eternal revolution».

He also considered that the masses of Sudan did not offer "sacrifices over 30 years to replace a military dictatorship with another that preserves the essence itself with the replacement of facades."

He reiterated his demands for a four-year civil transitional authority, which is based on a parliamentary system in which the powers of the head of state are reduced, and in which the structures of power, as presented in advance, are as follows:

First, a civilian sovereign council with limited military representation and a civilian presidency, this council represents the sovereign side and the head of state with very limited powers consistent with the parliamentary system.

The Council of Ministers has full executive powers, without interference from the sovereign council, and is working on the completion of the transitional relief program for the reform of the Sudanese economy, the cessation of war, the establishment of peace and the restructuring and nationalization of the civil service.

Thirdly, a legislative council in which all the Sudanese revolution forces are represented in all its ethnic, cultural and geographical diversity. The representation of women in it is not less than 40%. It shall carry out the tasks of legislation in the interim period, review all the defective laws and abolish them. The formation of the competent committees to hold the Constitutional Constitutional Conference and then the drafting of the permanent constitution and the people's referendum and approval, and the passage of an electoral law characterized by justice and transparency at the end of the transitional period.

The statement also stressed the independence of the judiciary and the disbandment of elements of the regime of Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir and his prisoners and allies, to ensure the impartiality of the judiciary and ensure the completion of transitional justice and punishment for the dead and affected by the practices of the regime in the past 30 years.
