US destroyer tested SM-3 missile during NATO exercises

“The destroyer USS Roosevelt launched an SM-3 missile during the Terrible Shield-2019 exercise. The exercises improve the interaction of allies in real time, in an integrated air defense and missile defense environment, ”the US Navy command quoted RIA Novosti as saying.

The exercise will last off the coast of Scotland until May 19th.

Earlier, the Russian Foreign Ministry commented on media reports about the Pentagon’s intention to conduct anti-missile tests of the SM-3 Block IIA to intercept an intercontinental ballistic missile.
