“We will increase the responsibility of the authorities to the people. Decisions on significant strategic problems will be made taking into account the point of view of the majority of the population through public opinion polls, and on the most important ones - through referendums, ”the candidate’s website says.
Tokayev also announced his intention to continue political modernization, the transformation of the state system based on democracy, and the improvement of the multi-party system.
According to him, “manifestations of pomposity, indiscretion, waste of officials” will be stopped and punished in the republic.
On May 11, an election campaign of presidential candidates began in Kazakhstan.
Early presidential elections will be held in the country on June 9.
