Syrian and Russian planes continue to bomb the villages of Hama and Idlib. More victims were killed Saturday, a hospital and two health centers were destroyed. The opposition continues to counter attacks by the regime forces that have advanced to the border of Idlib province.

Al-Jazeera reported that Russian planes targeted the Sham hospital in the city of Kernabal, south of Idlib, with several raids, causing partial destruction and stopping work. A source in the Civil Defense said that the shelling also removed the center of the middle jungle and the health center in Idlib countryside.

Russian and Syrian planes have destroyed more than 15 medical centers and hospitals in days in the villages of Hama and Idlib.

For his part, a source in the civil defense of the fall of more than 13 dead and dozens injured in the bombing of Russian aircraft on the city of Khan Sheikun and the towns of Ahsem, Habib and Bara.

Battles and displacement

The influx of displaced people continues towards the border with Turkey, and the Response Coordinators team said more than 300,000 people had fled their homes in two weeks, appealing to all humanitarian and relief agencies to take immediate action to meet the needs of these families.

Meanwhile, the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) reported that "some organizations have suspended their activities after their headquarters were destroyed, damaged or rendered unsafe." Another has also taken a decision to suspend activities in order to preserve the safety of workers or as a result of the total displacement of the population.

Between 29 April and 9 May, the Office estimated that more than 180,000 people had been displaced by the shelling, noting that the escalation had taken place over 15 health facilities, 16 schools and three displacement camps.
