“The ambassador’s words are alarming, because the Bulgarian government has never prevented the free study of foreign languages. Turkish can be taught in school along with English, German, French, Chinese, Japanese, Romanian, Russian, Hebrew, ”the Bulgarian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
They noted that the ambassador’s words did not meet Bulgaria’s expectations as to how relations between the two countries should develop.
