For its part, the Ministry of the Interior called on members of the community to cooperate with the police in reporting beggars, while being cautious of their fraudulent methods, stressing the prosecution of beggars and the application of penalties.

Khalid Ahmed said that the methods of beggars are developing between Ramadan and the other, in order to deceive the members of the society and seize their money. He said that he monitored cases of begging, some of them knocking on the doors of citizens' homes day and night, others stopping worshipers in front of mosques or passing by.
