One of the daughters of former Angolan President José Eduardo dos Santos says she "fled" her country after being threatened by the Angolan secret service. In a message to Angolan journalists, Welwitschia dos Santos said he left Angola for the UK after a former minister of dos Santos was, according to her, "kidnapped".

Welwitschia dos Santos, a MPLA MP, is in the UK, as is Isabel dos Santos, the eldest daughter of the former president. But unlike her half-sister, she continues to criticize the current president Joao Lourenço, whose resignation she is demanding.

The ruling party has decided to suspend its parliamentary mandate - Welwitschia dos Santos is even a member of the central committee - because it spent more than 90 days abroad.

But the MP refuses to sign any letter of resignation, which she explained in an audio message sent to Angolan journalists by WhatsApp: " It's sad to get there. I'm not going to throw oil on the fire. I want to say to the Angolan people that I will not sign anything. No one can be forced to stay abroad under threat and then be forced to resign voluntarily. I am outside my country against my will. And so I will not sign a letter voluntarily requesting a suspension to which I was pushed - under threats and intimidation. "

Welwitschia dos Santos said he fled Angola after an MPLA deputy, Manuel Antonio Rabelais, a former minister of his father, was prevented from boarding a plane for Lisbon. For the girl dos Santos, this is a kidnapping. For the authorities, this is an arrest in the context of embezzlement proceedings.

In his audio message, the one that many Angolans call "Tchizé" denounces his " executioners ". It makes them fall off the masks so that everyone knows who they are.
