Usually during the day, the two gates forged at the entrance of the prefecture of the Channel, in Saint-Lô, are left wide open. To be closed only at night with legs firmly anchored to the ground to prevent any intrusion.

"Risk of manifestation"

But this Thursday, December 6, 2018, the grilles were closed in the morning, "on the order of the prefect" who points "a risk of manifestation". Since the beginning of the week, a dozen yellow vests take turns at the entrance of the building. "They were not received and did not make the request," says the prefecture.

Friday, December 7, 2018, a new gathering in front of the prefecture of Saint-Lô is planned, from 8:30, with other yellow Vests Department: Avranches, Cherbourg and Coutances, among others. They collectively call to block the prefecture all day. An action not authorized by the prefect of the Channel, Jean-Marc Sabathé.

Users can, however, enter the precinct of the prefecture by a small door on the left left open.
