"The attitude and the recent positions of Mrs. Mouraud do not seem any more in connection with our human and progressive visions," write the former secretary, treasurer and press adviser of the party in a statement.

Several members of the founding bureau of the party "Emerging", founded in January by Jacline Mouraud figure of "yellow vests", announced Tuesday their resignation, including questioning "the cult of personality" of the leader.

"Ms. Mouraud's attitude and recent statements no longer seem to be related to our human and progressive visions: lack of consultation, confused directives, cult of the personality, lack of financial and relational transparency ...", perhaps read in a statement signed by the former secretary, treasurer and press adviser of the party. "She put a logo with an M referring to Mouraud", also explained Stéphane Baldan, former press adviser.

Jacline Mouraud, a 51-year-old Briton, was behind a viral video posted in October on Facebook that denounced "stalking the motorists" and thus initiated the movement of "yellow vests". In January, she founded in Orléans "Les Emergents" party that wanted "to redo politics with heart and empathy".

For Mouraud, "these events are part of the natural life of a party"

Contacted by AFP, Jacline Mouraud said "take note" of these departures. "I do not have to take a position, I do not rebel against these events that are part of the natural life of a party," she said. She contended that they were four of the six founding members of the party, as explained by the resigners, because according to her, the founding office consisted of only three people.

According to Stéphane Baldan, the party has "between 30 and 40 members". Jacline Mouraud did not want her to give figures. "Les Emergents", which will not appear in the European elections, intends to be present at the municipal elections of 2020.
