Wall Street closed lower Monday, weighted, as the major world markets, by figures deemed disappointing on Chinese foreign trade that awoke again the specter of a slowdown in the global economy.
According to provisional results at the close, Wall Street's flagship index, the Dow Jones Industrial Average, fell 0.38% to 23,905.56 points and the Nasdaq, with strong technological color, lost 0.94% , at 6,905.92 points.
