The United Arab Emirates continued to provide assistance to Yemen's students through the UAE Red Crescent Society, which lights up its future efforts in front of these students, who faced difficult circumstances following the coup by the Houthi militias. This support came as part of the UAE efforts to support Yemen in all areas of relief, health and service, thus contributing to the return of normal life and alleviating the suffering of Yemeni citizens. Since the beginning of the academic year 2018-2019, the UAE Red Crescent has started distributing uniforms to 100,000 students in five liberated Yemeni governorates: Aden, Lahj, Abyan, Dhala and Taiz. The support of the education sector is the top priority of the Authority in improving the lives of Yemeni brothers, And enhance their ability to face the current conditions, through the support of the educational process, and improve the school environment to be appropriate for academic achievement, as well as providing the needs of students of different educational requirements. Since the beginning of the current school year, Al-Hilal has opened 15 schools along the west coast of Yemen, after rehabilitating, furnishing and providing them with educational facilities, in addition to providing educational supplies for more than 12,000 students. The aid came from the Crescent to bring schools back to work after more than three years of suspension because of the practices of the Houthi militias that targeted many educational institutions, some of which took up military barracks.
