In the US political circle, a positive evaluation was made regardless of whether the second North Korea summit agreement was broken.

It is better to go on foot than sign a hasty bad agreement.

[Chuck Schumer / US Senator for Democratic Party]: I am glad the president knew that North Korea had no intention of making a comprehensive settlement. It is good that President Trump walked out without a bad agreement.]

American press and experts also responded.

[United Broadcasting Reporter: At this meeting, I think that it was better than not to agree on a bad agreement.]

However, it was pointed out that the talks proceeded without sufficient consensus at the practical level and showed the danger of top-down diplomacy.

Secretary of State Pompeii told reporters after the meeting that he did not set a date for the next summit and said it would take some time.

"We have cleaned up the road through a lot of combat," he said. "There has been progress in negotiations with North Korea."

Pompei said he did not take as much as expected of the talks, but said he still believes he can move forward.
