Democrats in the US House of Representatives have embarked on an extensive investigation into US President Donald Trump and his environment. The Chamber's Judiciary Committee requested a number of White House documents and dozens of Trump members on Monday. Among them is his son Donald Trump Junior.

With their newly won majority in the House of Representatives - one of the two congressional chambers - the Democrats have initiated various investigations.

Jerry Nadler, chairman of the Judiciary Committee, said earlier this weekend that his body would request documents from more than 60 people from Trump's environment. It is about allegations of corruption, abuse of power and obstruction of the judiciary, said Nadler the television channel ABC.
