"The UN Security Council will meet behind closed doors on Friday to discuss the situation in Libya after the leader of the Eastern forces in a war-ridden North African country ordered his troops to launch an offensive on Tripoli," the text says.
It became known earlier that Marshal Khalifa Haftar, commander of the Libyan National Army, ordered the army to launch an offensive against Tripoli, which is currently under the control of the government of national consent.
