Just four days before the summit between US President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, the hotels of the leaders of the two countries were set up in the Vietnamese capital of Hanoi.

Marriott is the first candidate for the US president, while the North Korean leader will probably be staying at the Melia Hotel, South Korea's KBS World radio reported on Monday.

The Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the areas close to the Marriott and Melia hotels and the Hoan Kiem Lake area, have been declared as security zones and high-rise buildings have been banned during the summit period.

North Korean and US negotiators have held recent talks on the diplomatic protocol until Friday evening, a ministry official said.

Vietnam also decided to open an international media center for the summit, where the Cultural Friendship Palace will accommodate up to 3,000 reporters and journalists.
