Since the last demonstration of the Pan-African National Party on April 13, the arrests follow one another. After the arrest and embellishment of the treasurer and executive secretary of the party in the middle of the week, it is the turn of the special advisor to the party president this weekend.

Ouro-Djikpa Tchatikpi is the third leader of the Pan-African National Party to be arrested in less than 10 days. Before his arrest, Gueffé Nouroudine and Kéziré Azizou respectively treasurer and permanent secretary of the party were arrested and imprisoned at the Lome civil prison last week.

They are reproached with all of them, the non-respect of the opinion of the authorities on the routes that should take their demonstration of April 13 which caused the death of a young man.

These mass arrests of the leaders of the national party panafricain intervene the day after the march to which this party called to demand the application of the roadmap of the economic community of the States of West Africa in particular, the reforms Constitutional and Institutional Affairs and the release of persons still in detention as part of the 2018 protests.

Officially, we do not comment very much on these arrests. In the opposition, a wave of solidarity is manifesting towards the Pan-African national party, whose leader Tikpi Salifou Atchadam has been living in hiding for more than a year.
