The Central Statistical Organization in Iraq published a statistical estimate of population numbers up to 2030.
The statistics published by the Department of the Ministry of Planning, the estimated population of Iraq during the current year is 39 million and 127 thousand and 900 people, while 45 million and 520 thousand and 500 people in 2025 if the current fertility rate, births and deaths, Iraq's 2030 population will reach 51 million and 211,700 people.
The population of Iraq was 38 million and 124 thousand and 182 people in 2018, the number of males, including 19 million and 261 thousand and 253 people by 51%, while the number of females, including 18 million and 862 thousand and 929 people by 49% of the total population, according to statistics.
According to the Ministry of Planning in June 2018, the population of Iraq is increasing annually by 850 thousand to one million people.
Iraq's population in the 1979 census was 12 million, then rose to 16.3 million in 1987 and 22 million in 1997.
