The weather Tuesday will be quieter but gray over a large part of the country, according to Météo-France forecasts. In most areas, the lull will be confirmed. But except for the Southeast, the day will often start under many low clouds, sometimes doubled with fog.

In the northern half of the country, as far as the east of Auvergne and the Rhône-Alpes valleys, this grisaille will remain compact and tenacious until evening. On the East, small rains or drizzles will be possible, with some flakes to 600 to 700 m to the Vosges.

Sun on the relief of the Alps. In the afternoon, a few drops may also occur near the Channel and the Belgian border. In the south, mists or early low clouds will dissipate slowly and fine thinnings will develop in the afternoon, but some slicks of gray can persist locally, especially to the Garonne valley.

On the other hand, on the relief of the Alps, the Jura, the Pyrenees and on the Mediterranean rim, the sun will prevail in the morning.

Minimum temperatures down. In the south-east, the tramontane will calm down quickly, then the mistral will gradually weaken. In the Rhone Valley, gusts will still reach 60 to 70 km / h in the morning and then 50 to 60 km / h in the afternoon.

The minimum temperatures will again decrease, between 0 and 6 degrees in general with small local frosts, 4 to 9 degrees on the Mediterranean coasts. Peaks will reach 4 to 8 degrees from Lorraine and Alsace to Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, 7 to 11 degrees elsewhere, 11 to 16 degrees near the Big Blue.
