"The parties expressed their intention to strengthen cooperation in the UN and on other multilateral platforms, stressed the importance of respecting the principles and norms of international law in interstate relations," the press service of the Russian Foreign Ministry said.
At the same time, the Russian side noted the importance of a peaceful settlement of internal disputes in Venezuela without outside intervention by force.
Earlier, Russia called on the United States to switch to cooperation within the UN to stabilize the situation in Venezuela.
