The diplomat suggested that the hype is created to have an excuse to tighten anti-Russian sanctions. The Russian side is actively accused, “as is customary in recent times,” of certain illegal actions, while the evidence does not stand up to scrutiny.
Earlier, the head of EU diplomacy, Federica Mogherini, said that the European Union intends to take measures soon in connection with the situation in the Sea of Azov. According to her, Brussels "sends a clear signal" to Moscow.
