His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qassimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, President of the University of Sharjah, yesterday launched the 13th Annual Scientific Research Forum organized by the University of Sharjah under the theme "The Effectiveness of Interdisciplinary Research in Achieving Sustainable Development" At the College of Medical Colleges and Health Sciences at the University.

On the sidelines of the opening ceremony of the forum, His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qassimi witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Infrastructure Development and the University of Sharjah, signed by Undersecretary Eng. Hasan Al Mansouri and the University Director Dr. Hamid Majoul Al Nuaimi.
The MOU concerns research and development for two specialized projects that support adaptation to climate change, contributing to the development of infrastructure projects with the best specifications and adaptation to climate change, and to effective partnerships between government institutions and scientific institutions.
