His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, issued a number of Federal decrees concerning the establishment of a state embassy in the Republic of Zimbabwe and the appointment and promotion of members of the State Diplomatic Service.

The decrees published in the latest issue of the Federal Official Gazette stipulated the establishment of a state embassy in the Republic of Zimbabwe in the capital Harare. It also provided for the transfer of the State Ambassador to the Republic of Italy, Saqr Nasser Ahmad Abdullah Al-Risi, and his appointment as State Ambassador to Kuwait with the same degree of To terminate his functions as a non-resident ambassador to both the Republic of Macedonia and the Republic of San Remo.

The ceremony included the appointment of the State Ambassador to the Republic of Singapore, Mohamed Omar Abdullah Belafqiah, as a non-resident ambassador to the independent State of Papua New Guinea and the appointment of Dr. Salim Ali Mohammed Al-Khadim Al-Dhahnani as the State Consul General in the city of Karachi in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Jassim Mohammed Mubarak Abdullah Al-Qassimi, and Mohammed Seif Hilal Mohammed Al-Shehhi, from the rank of Minister Plenipotentiary to the rank of Minister Plenipotentiary of the First Order, and the promotion of members of the diplomatic corps Amal Sultan Obaid Salem Al Ali, Ahmed Mohammed Ahmed Al Mutawa Al Shehhi, Khalifa Saif Hamed Obaid Tniji, from the rank of adviser to the rank of Minister Plenipotentiary.
