The head of the parliamentary reform and reconstruction bloc Sabah al-Saadi and leadership in the alliance, "Saroon" Inam Khuzaie on Thursday, the proposed law of the new national anthem, and the approval of seventy deputies from various political blocs and social components of the Speaker of the House of Representatives.

After that, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mohamed Halbousi, referred the proposed law to the Legal, Culture and Information Committees with a view to completing its legislation and thus proceeding with its adoption procedures.
In January, Saher said he hoped his song "Salam Ali Rafidak" would be a national anthem for Iraq, and he was pleased that the Iraqi public supported this proposal in a referendum held for this purpose.
Al-Saher confirmed that he did not receive any contact from Iraqi officials regarding the adoption of the song, but pointed out that he has made a new distribution, and has the honor to be a national anthem of his country.
It is noteworthy that Saher agreed earlier on the proposal of the leader of the Sadrist movement Moqtada al-Sadr, the adoption of his song as a national anthem of Iraq, but stipulated the approval of the Iraqi Council of Representatives formally.
After 2003, the song "Mawtani" was adopted as a national anthem. It is one of the words of the Palestinian poet Ibrahim Toukan and composed by Mohamed Fleifel. This song is still adopted by successive Iraqi governments since that date.
