According to him, this law violates the rights of the Hungarian minority and reflects the vision of the president of Ukraine, Petro Poroshenko, who, according to the minister, promoted anti-Hungarian policy.

“We hope that on the basis of mutual respect and the desire to find a solution we will be able to clarify the situation with laws affecting the rights of the Hungarian community, with a new, overwhelmingly elected president,” he said, implying defeated Vladimir Zelensky.

As Siyarto added, Zelensky’s statements give reason for hope for the normalization of relations between Hungary and Ukraine.

Earlier, the Verkhovna Rada adopted a law on the exclusive use of the Ukrainian language in many areas, including in state and local government bodies, in educational institutions and hospitals.

The elected president of Ukraine, Vladimir Zelensky, in turn, said that the document would be analyzed for compliance with the country's Constitution.
