A Turkish academy donated to the Anatomy Department of the Faculty of Medicine has donated to the Faculty of Medicine, after serving a long time in the preparation of engineers at the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Mersin (south of the country).

Professor Fatima Tanar is one of the founding members of the Faculty of Engineering at the University, has submitted more than 100 scientific researches and has been retired in 2015.

After her retirement from the university, Tanar did not stop production, but started working as a consultant in a factory.

Tanar died days ago at the age of 72 years, and recommended before her death to use her body in the teaching of anatomy, in order to contribute to the education of students of the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Mersin.

According to her recommendation, her body was handed over to the Department of Anatomy at the Faculty of Medicine, which will be used by the students for three years.

Zahra's sister, Zahra Qorukmaz, said her sister had grown up by a year and a half and spent most of their days together.

Tanar has been persistent and has provided services to everyone since her childhood, her academic life, and even her work at the university.

She explained that Tanar had spent her life in scientific research, and was studying despite receiving the title of professor.

She confirmed that her sister donated her body after her death to provide a service for science, and her heart was filled with love and compassion towards others.
