The Director of the Department of Traffic and Patrols at the Sharjah Police General Command, Lt. Col. Mohammed Alai Al Naqbi, confirmed that there were no serious accidents or injuries on Sharjah's main and secondary roads due to the fluctuation of the air condition which resulted in the heavy fog experienced by some areas inside the country this morning.
Lt. Col. Alai warned road users and drivers of sudden weather fluctuations and possible fog formation in future periods, which could result in low visibility and cause traffic accidents on both external and internal roads.
Lt. Col. Alai thanked the drivers for their commitment to follow the guidelines and instructions issued by the competent authorities, while demanding the drivers to leave the safety distance between the vehicles, and comply with the traffic safety guidelines during driving during fog periods, while complying with all traffic rules for safety.
