To ride by taxi? That's what Copartage, a young French startup set up in collaborative consumption, proposes with CotaxiGO. This application allows to find someone, in real time (or programmed in advance) through geolocation, with whom to share the costs of a trip. For the Trans Musicales de Rennes, a partnership with the Rennes taxis is set up.
How it works ? "Quite simply," says the CotaxiGO team. People download the app for free and post a trip announcement like on Blablacar. Example: I am at the Rennes train station and I have to go to the exhibition park. If one or more people match their ads, they are then connected via an internal messaging and then meet to share their seats and the price of the taxi. "
According to Copartage, this approach saves at least 50% of the race. "A trip to 40 € costs only 10 € per person if 4 people ride in this taxi. The driver keeps the full price of his race. "
For the occasion, the Rennes taxis have created a visual station at the Parc-Expo to allow festival-goers to find them easily. They offer several races up to 30 €.

And if really, even shared, the taxi does not tempt you, there are still shuttles and buses, with their festive atmosphere specific to Trans Musicales. This Thursday, December 6, a bus is scheduled every 8 to 10 minutes from 19 h 30 to 3 h 30. Friday 7 and Saturday 8 December, it increases the pace with a bus every 5 minutes from 19 h 30 to 7:30 am On return, the shuttles will serve the Mermoz / Jacques Cartier / République / Charles de Gaulle stops. Six lines provide a direct link between 25 municipalities of Rennes Métropole and Parc Expo on Friday and Saturday only.
